Schema Markup: A buzzword or the future of SEO?
Schema Markup is a way of adding key data to a website and its pages, to aid in search engine and more recently, AI and conversational search results.
We now include core Schema Markup on all websites and have been backdating this on existing ones as appropriate.
Where agreed, we can also implement it across all pages and content - which is no small task, we've got websites with over 100 pages, it is most certainly not a 5-minute job!
From a conversation today with our SEO and marketing associate, Schema is going to become a major issue in the next 12 months, geographical/Large Language Model technologies needing schema to help them catalogue websites and content properly, helping their chances of showing up in the increasingly common AI 'search' results many search engines are starting to use by default.
It's easy to forget about this type of detail.
Ignore something that seems new, or difficult, or time-consuming.
However, like being the first web agency in our city to force and backdate SSL certificates for all client websites when Google decided to make them a part of SEO and to warn visitors when a site wasn't secure, we can't ignore it - and neither should you!
When you subscribe to the blog, we will send you an e-mail when there are new updates on the site so you wouldn't miss them.
